OMG THE FUTURE IS HERE ALREADY!!!  (SQUEEE!!!)
Seriously, if you are in any way interested in the future of technology, bookmark this TED video and set aside 15 minutes to LET IT BLOW YOU AWAY.
This MIT guy demonstrates his system that basically removes “the computer” and allows you to interact directly with the real world.
Highlights:

Framing a picture with his fingers snaps a photo.
He can walk up to any wall or pick up a piece of paper and interact with a projection to sort, process, and send photos using hand gestures, a la Minority Report.
Opening a book in the bookstore, a projection shows him additional information, and audio clips of news bites and of the author play in his earphones. A newspaper weather report is overlaid with current weather updates. A front page photo is overlaid with a video of the event.
He’s making this all available open source for free in about six months.

The system is called Sixth Sense Technology. I can’t wait.
